An open great room and kitchen under a vaulted wood ceiling, with nothing to break up the floor from one end to the other. Before the planks went down, the plywood subfloor had to be flat, because any dip shows up later as a plank that moves underfoot.

Wide planks in a warm brown run the length of the room, which makes it look even longer, with the end joints staggered at random. The same floor carries on through the doorway into the hall.
