White fluted tile around an L-shaped counter, set so the ribs carry straight through from one row to the next. The light strip under the wood-grain cabinets runs across the ridges.

Ribbed tile is unforgiving: a joint that is out by a millimetre breaks the rhythm of the ridges, and light from the side picks it up at once. The cuts around the outlets are kept tight.
